NIFAD Membership Objectives

To provide a network of Distributors who know each other personally and who have common goals.
To receive input from specialized sources at Association meetings in the field of: Equipment, Codes, Law, Insurance, Operations, Legislation, Finance, and Regulations.
To stimulate and effect meaningful communication through the sharing of information and knowledge regarding business practices and procedures.
To establish service, installation, and certification standards.
To support Distributors having special equipment needs.
To encourage the development of desirable codes and regulations.
To gain and maintain a unity of quality Distributors.
To help solve mutual problems.

NIFAD Membership Categories

Distributor Member [Voting] Individual: $500. per year
(additional non-voting membership $25. per person/annually - see column on right)

A distributor member is any independent individual, firm, partnership or corporation that is currently engaged in the design, installation, maintenance, service, sale or distribution of fire alarm systems and/or services.
A distributor member shall have been involved in the sales and service of fire alarm systems for a minimum of five (5) years. A distributor member shall be a current member of NFPA.
No firm, partnership or corporation may have more than one (1) active voting membership nor shall any primary manufacturer or manufacturer’s sales office have a voting membership.
Special Promotion: Institutional Membership Choice: In 2023 NIFAD is offering a Bundled/Institutional Option. You may add up to 3 additional employees to your account at no cost. Institutional Members will NOT have voting rights, but will receive NIFAD Information and several membership benefits.

Supplier Membership [ Non-Voting] Individual: $600. per year
(additional non-voting membership $25. per person/annually - see column on right)

A supplier member is any firm, partnership or corporation which provides products and/or services to Distributor Members or [other] Supplier Members of the Organization, and who shall rise to the principles and aims of the Organization and desires to support and further those aims.
A supplier member shall not be eligible for Distributor Membership.

Affiliate Membership [Non-Voting]: (Contact us)

An affiliate member is any individual, firm, partnership or corporation which subscribes to the purpose of the Organization as set forth in Article II and who is acceptable to the Organization but not otherwise qualified for Distributor or Supplier Membership.
Affiliate members may include non-profit organizations, associations, academic institutions, governmental agencies and professionals (both individuals and companies) with an interest or affiliation in fire protection.
You cannot choose this option from our website. Please contact us if you qualify.

Distributor Member - Institutional, 4 Members - $575.00 (USD) Bundle (up to 4 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Bundled: Distributor Institutional Membership - includes membership for 4 in the same company. One Voting Member and 3 Regular Distributor Members.

Distributor Member - Institutional, 5 Members - $600.00 (USD) Bundle (up to 5 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Bundled: Distributor Institutional Membership - includes membership for 5 in the same company. One Voting Member and 4 Regular Distributor Members.

Supplier Member Individual - $600.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Supplier Membership - membership for 1 person. Can be upgraded to 2 - 4 members total.

Supplier Member - Institutional, 2 memberships - $625.00 (USD) Bundle (up to 2 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Bundled: Supplier Institutional Membership - includes membership for 2 non-voting members in the same company. Memberships can be upgraded or downgraded.

Supplier Member - Institutional, 3 memberships - $650.00 (USD) Bundle (up to 3 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Bundled: Supplier Institutional Membership - includes membership for 3 non-voting members in the same company. Memberships can be upgraded or downgraded.

Supplier Member - Institutional, 4 memberships - $675.00 (USD) Bundle (up to 4 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Bundled: Supplier Institutional Membership - includes membership for 4 non-voting members in the same company. Memberships can be upgraded or downgraded.
